ASP Registration
If you are interested in going on the ASP trip this summer (June 23-30), please submit a check for $100 made out to the church (memo: ASP) before February 19. ASP trips are open to ages 14+. We are committed to taking a max. of 42 volunteers this year, so respond soon!
Wesley Foundation Meal, Sunday, February 12
One of our newest ministries, providing a Sunday evening fellowship meal at the Wesley Foundation, has been met with enthusiasm and gratitude. Our next opportunity to serve a potluck meal is Sunday, February 12. the entrée will be prepared by members of the kitchen crew with costs underwritten by the United Methodist Women. If you would like to a provide a salad, side dish or dessert for the students, please sign up to share a dish to pass at the table in the Marketplace between worship services this Sunday and February 5, or contact Jonathan Richardson at jt62@chartermi.net .
Prime Timers Lunch, Friday, February 17, 11:30 am
Everyone is welcome to join the Prime Timers for lunch at Theo & Stacy’s Restaurant at 4311 S. Westnedge on Friday, February 17 @ 11:30 a.m. Call Dorothy Newton at 388-5078 or Dorothy Osborne at 343-5128 by Wednesday, February 15 so they know how many tables to reserve. Please join them in enjoying good food and good fellowship.
Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner, Tuesday, February 21, 5 - 7 pm
The youth send a big THANK YOU for your support of their spaghetti dinner last Friday and the Sunday soup and grilled cheese luncheon. They were both a success. You can join them for their next fund raiser meal for a hearty pancake dinner on Tuesday, February 21 from 5-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall.
Thursday Noon Lenten Organ Concerts, February 23 - March 29, 12 pm
Mark your 2012 calendar for our upcoming organ concerts during Lent featuring talented organists from the Southwest Michigan area. The Thursday concerts are 50-minutes and start at noon. The concerts will run from February 23 through March 29. A cookie reception will follow each concert. We hope you will enjoy this wonderful showcase of musicians sponsored by your Music & Arts Committee. Your free will offering will help support their programming.
FRB Special Offering
Julie Doll and Hannah Turner will be leaving on a Foods Resource Bank-sponsored trip to Guatemala on February 11. If you would like to help them with their trip expenses, an envelope is included in Sunday’s bulletin for your gift. Please make your check out to the church with “FRB” in the memo.
"Mission of the Month"
The Outreach Team is once again taking up a monthly mission. In February, please bring travel size toiletries that you have collected or can purchase to benefit Ministry with Community. A basket for your donations is available in the office under the mailboxes.

Harding's eScrip and Meijer 1 cards
Youth Missions is registered for both of these community reward programs that provide a percentage of your purchases go to the church. All you have to do is sign up and remember to use the cards when you shop. Sign ups are a little different for each store, so the youth will be available in the coming weeks to help you with registration. You can also sign up for Meijer Community Rewards online at Meijer.com/rewards. When you sign up online, you will need the church’s code number, 368842. The use of the Meijer 1 card can also be used for your gas purchases, which will provide .5% to youth missions.
