Academy Class "The Challenge of Paul"
October 28 - November 25, 9:30 - 10:30 am
The Apostle Paul is perhaps the second-most important figure (after Jesus) in the development of the Christian church. Half of the New Testament is either about Paul or written by (or attributed to) him. In “The Challenge of Paul,” John Dominic Crossan sheds new light on Paul and explores why he is more relevant today than ever. Crossan confronts our traditional understanding about Paul that seems to support anti-homosexuality, slavery, patriarchy, and the subjugation of women. This dvd-based class is the next chapter of a class offered last year (not a repeat), but all are welcome. Class will be led by John Clark.
