YOUTH MINISTRIES
Our youth ministry is a very exciting and active part of FUMC. We provide a variety of programs to meet the various needs of the youth of our church and our community. Java & Jive, our Youth Sunday School classes at 9:30 a.m. are special interest classes geared just for youth. Confirmation classes are offered for eighth graders every spring. Youth Tribe is the Sunday evening program for youth that begins with a meal at 6 p.m. Tribe is a combination of missions, Bible study, fellowship and FUN! In the past year Youth Tribe has:

Youth Ministry Vision
The Youth Ministry of First United Methodist Church strives to inspire and motivate youth and families to be actively engaged in developing and building a life of faith. The vision is to embrace these critical years of self-discovery and enhance the lives of our youth through engaging, faith-led programs, adult mentors and family activities which will contribute to a life-long journey of faith. The exploration and discovery of youth ministries will include:
- engaging in ministries of love, justice, and service
- celebrating in worship, sacraments, and education
- exploring meaning and mystery in the Bible
- fun and fellowship within a youth community that is led and shaped by the Holy Spirit
Youth and parents! Don’t hesitate to email me at any time. Also, my door is always open if you wish to stop by the church and talk.
