Sunday Morning Happenings:
This year brings a new format for youth Sunday morning classes: JAVA & JIVE! We’ll be offering three different classes during sessions averaging about six weeks each. Youth will be able to pick one class based on interest, and attend that class for the full session. The following session will provide new choices with new topics. This format is similar to adult Academy Classes.Youth Ministry Vision
The Youth Ministry of First United Methodist Church strives to inspire and motivate youth and families to be actively engaged in developing and building a life of faith. The vision is to embrace these critical years of self-discovery and enhance the lives of our youth through engaging, faith-led programs, adult mentors and family activities which will contribute to a life-long journey of faith. The exploration and discovery of youth ministries will include:
- engaging in ministries of love, justice, and service
- celebrating in worship, sacraments, and education
- exploring meaning and mystery in the Bible
- fun and fellowship within a youth community that is led and shaped by the Holy Spirit
Youth and parents! Don’t hesitate to email me at any time. Also, my door is always open if you wish to stop by the church and talk.
Life is good!
