“Very truly, I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just a single grain, but if it dies it bears much fruit” ~John 12:24
We are called to experience, celebrate, and share God’s love. This is our mission as First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo. Our call to life is love. Yet, Jesus is beginning to talk of death and the fruitfulness found in endings, surrender and trust. Plants have much to teach us about resurrection. The signs of spring are unfolding all around us. What was dormant is now coming to life. We are called to a life of love that has beginnings and endings, seasons of dormancy and seasons of fruitfulness. Our mission calls us to be open to the wonders of living through experience, celebration and sharing. As we worship this week, let us renew our commitment to our mission as Kalamazoo First United Methodist Church.
First United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan is a reconciling congregation, open to all. We are committed to social justice.
