As the world turns virtual, it is easy to pray

People pray daily for an end to the coronavirus that is turning human interaction into a virtual afair and upending lives everywhere during a struggle against a silent enemy about which little is known. Praying is something that does not need social contact as global Christian groups have noted. As in all struggles, COVID-19 brings out the good and bad in humanity.

So let us pray a prayer during this difficult time.

"When we aren't sure, God, help us be calm; when information comes from all sides, correct and not correct, help us to discern. When fear makes it hard to breathe and anxiety seems to be the order of the day, slow us down God. Help us to reach out with our hearts, when we can't touch with our hands. Help us to be socially connected. When we have to be socially distant, help us to love as perfectly as we can, knowing that "perfect love casts out all fear. Amen."

The church has been emailing "Daily Words of Encouragement" during the COVID-19 Stay Home/Stay Safe mandate. If you would like to be on our mailing list for these encouraging emails, please CLICK HERE to join our mailing list.
