Youth Tribe

Sunday Evenings ~  6 - 8 PM (meets weekend after Labor Day and goes through the 2nd week of June)

Youth Tribe is an opportunity to explore and develop faith through a variety of paths or various activities.  Our Sunday evening gatherings are often the times that friendships are developed because the environment is casual and the activities require youth to engage with one another.  Our Youth Tribe is unique in that we have youth from throughout the greater Kalamazoo area.  Friendships are not necessarily made upon what school you go to, what class you are in, what sport you play or who your school friends are; the basis for friendship is faith exploration and learning how to live your faith every day.  There will be a snack provided every Sunday evening.

Invite your friends to Youth Tribe!

Share Youth Tribe with your friends and share your friends with Youth Tribe.  Youth Tribe is an easy way to invite friends to be a part of our church and help them to have meaningful friendships and form their faith.  All youth will need a medical release form (located on our website) in order to participate in activities away from the church.

Five Paths of Youth Tribe

  1. Digging Deep - a life topic, applicable Scripture and deep discussion
  2. Movie Madness - watching movies & finding some relevance
  3. Devos & Worship Ways - prayer, Scripture, reflection and some rituals of faith
  4. Fun & Fellowship - getting silly, laughing hard and enjoying the blessing of life
  5. Mindful Missions - doing our faith, being the hands and feet of Christ

Every effort is made to keep all youth ministry events low cost. Funding assistance is available, just ask.

Parents are a critical part of youth ministries.  It is only with your support, commitment and dedication of time and talents that youth ministries at FUMC will be successful.  Please prayerfully consider how you will be involved.  We need parents to provide snacks, chaperone various trips and sleepovers, teach Java & Jive classes, fundraise for mission trips, supervise Sunday evenings, be an adult leader on summer mission trips, or offer your unique gifts and ideas.
