The David Rohs Youth Fund, held at the United Methodist Foundation of Michigan and managed by First UMC Trustees, is a college scholarship of $500-$1000 for young people who are active participants at First Church.
Students may apply for the scholarship from January to March 31 for between $500-$1000 to attend a college, university or seminary. The scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, room and board, books, transportation and personal expenses associated with the cost of education.
Students may receive awards from the Rohs Scholarship Fund for a limit of two years.
Youth Pastor Matt Weiler and two Trustees are involved in the application review process, with final approval the First United Methodist Board of Trustees.
Applications for the 2022 Rohs Scholarship are now available to download. The deadline is March 31, 2022. Late applications will not be accepted.
