Seventh Sunday after Pentecost. Some days are just harder than others, for a plethora of reasons, there are days when we may wonder “What will become of me, what will become of us?” These hard days can have us questioning our abilities, our coping skills and we can feel as if the load is just too much. The early Christian community in Colosse were facing some of these hard days and the letter of Colossians is Paul’s pick-me-up to the community, encouraging them to remember the gifts and the empowerment found in being a community of Christ followers. We are rooted in Christ and baptized in grace that leads to a newness in life, especially on those hard days. Come, let us worship our Creator and find our spirits restored.
